Pork Sizzle Steaks

‘Sizzle steaks’ otherwise known as ‘minute steaks’ are thin and cook very quickly, giving them their name. Because of their quick cooking times, sizzle steaks are the perfect quick and easy meal-time solutions for the busy and time poor.

How to Cook Pork Sizzle Steak: 

  1. Preheat a pan to high. Season steak with salt and pepper and a little oil.
  2. Cook for 1 ½ minute without turning.
  3. Turn, cook for another minute.
  4. Rest on a plate for two minutes to allow the juices to settle, slice and serve.

Sizzle steaks are also perfect for pork schnitzel (no need to flatten):

NOTE: Flatten pork steaks yourself OR buy pre-flattened (schnitzel or minute) steaks

Ready to Fry:

Place crumbed schnitzel on a tray and chill for 15 minutes.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil and 20g butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. When butter has melted, and mixture is sizzling, add 2 schnitzels and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden and just cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel. Keep warm. Repeat with remaining schnitzels.
